Vladimir Chimbir
Chairman of the Board
Vladimir has extensive experience in founding and running companies in Russia. He is the co-founder of the SALUT Group, a Russian company engaged in power engineering and the manufacture of industrial equipment for various industries.

Previously Vladimir held management positions with the largest manufacturer of aero engines and gas turbine plants in Russia. His experience also includes the development and management of a range of companies including in logistics, industrial manufacturing and others.
He is currently a member of the Committee for Energy Strategy and Development of the Fuel-Energy Complex of the Chamber of Commerce of Russia.
Vladimir graduated from the Russian President’s Academy of the National Economy and State Service.    
Max Yacoub
Member of the Board
Max Yacoub, a British-Russian national, has extensive Russian and CIS investment experience, attracting financing, and private equity. Previously he was Deputy CEO of Auriant Mining AB, a publicly listed gold miner, responsible for corporate strategy, M&A, and investor relations. His background also includes 10 years with the International Finance Corporation (member of the World Bank Group and the largest investor in emerging markets), including as IFC head of operations for Belarus. He also held senior positions with Moorgate Capital, Russia Partners and Sistema Telecom.
Max has degrees in Manufacturing Engineering and Economics from the University of Birmingham (UK), and MBA from Harvard Business School.
Marat Bitimbayev
Adviser to Chairman of the Board
Marat Bitimbaev is one of best known and well regarded mining veterans in Kazakhstan. He is a member of the presidium of the National Engineering Academy of Kazakhstan (NEAK), Chairman of the joint geological and mining-metallurgical department of NEAK, academician with the International Engineering Academy, member of the International Academy of Mineral Resources and the Academy of Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan. Currently he is a member of the board of two of the largest Kazakh miners, Kazakhaltyn and Kazakhmys.
His career has included extensive mining and Government experience including Deputy Minister for Geology and Resources of Kazakhstan, Deputy Minister of Industry, member of the management board of DATA Investment.
Marat Bitimbaev is a Doctor of Science, professor, and author of 245 scientific articles (including 19 monographs), and is the holder of more than 80 USSR patents and 30 Kazakh patents. He has received 15 Soviet and Kazakh state awards
